Institute for One Wisconsin
From Wiscopedia
The Institute for One Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) organization serving as an education and research vehicle to advance progressive values, ideas and policies. While the work of the Institute is not issue-based, it plays a defined role as a communications means and resource, by which to increase media and public visibility for progressive efforts of nonpartisan groups.
The Institute for One Wisconsin was established two years ago to address an identified communications gap in the nonprofit sector in Wisconsin. This gap was determined by a large group of progressive organizational leaders in Wisconsin during a major collaborative evaluation of nearly 50 organizations. As a result, Institute for One Wisconsin Now was created in 2006 to serve as a central warehouse for communications, coordinated message development and research for the advancement of progressive values and leadership.
The Institute brings together a broad community of progressive organizations that will work closely to unite messaging campaigns on common issue areas and utilize communication toolkits to promote effective strategies that increase public participation and media visibility.
