Wiscopedia is a collaborative project of the Institute for One Wisconsin community. We are building a resource for progressive organizations in Wisconsin and a directory of those same organizations. You are invited to contribute. See below for instructions.
Wiscopedia FAQ
- You can start by creating an account. Anyone can create an account and begin editing immediately.
- Some help can be found at our help link, accessible from here or on the sidebar. Also, every time you edit a page, a link to the editing help page is provided at the bottom of the page.
- While we do not use all of the functionality of the Wikipedia project, much of their help documentation can apply to our project as well.
- If you find a page that needs some attention, please help us and add some information yourself. If you can't do so, just attach the text {{Help}}, and the page will be added to the category Help needed.
- Help us to build the web! Include links from organizations to their flagship issues. Interlink issues where appropriate. Help us make the list of lonely pages shorter.

What kind of material can you add?
Wiscopedia is released into the public domain under the GNU Free Distributions License (GFDL). This means a few things, which are fully explained on our copyright page. Here is the basic idea:
- You can add text from any other public domain source (such as Wikipedia, dKosopedia, and others) as long as you attribute the source.
- Free images can be added and you can add your own images to pages.
- Material that you find on Wiscopedia can be used anywhere, as long as you attribute it. Use it, reuse it, modify it.
