Wiscopedia:General disclaimer
From Wiscopedia
[edit] Wiscopedia is editable by anyone
This means that information may be added or removed without the express consent of the administrators of this wiki. While we strive to provide the best possible collaborative resource for Wisconsin progressives, we cannot update every page ourselves and we cannot patrol every edit. As such, some pages may have innacurate information. The easiest solution to this is to just fix it. Since you too can edit Wiscopedia, you can correct small errors. If you feel that a problem may be major or complex or you feel that one of us should be involved in the solution, feel free to contact an administrator.
[edit] Wiscopedia should not contain copyrighted information
With rare exceptions listed in Project:Copyrights, copyrighted information should not be added to Wiscopedia. If you want to talk about a press release or news story about a progressive organization or issue, summarize the document and cite it in the sources section (if there isn't a sources section, you can learn to make one here).
If your organization feels that your copyright has been infringed upon, please contact the Institute for One Wisconsin immediately. If you feel that the infringing information can be removed by a simple edit, you may remove it. If you feel that is not sufficient, we will act to remove the content and page history. We can only do this if you email the Institute for One Wisconsin directly. We cannot promise that administrators will be online at all times but we can assure you that email for the Institute is received on all business days.
[edit] Wiscopedia aspires to enforce a broad code of conduct
Unpleasant, disruptive or anti-social behavior will not be tolerated. Users who spam, troll, bait, or otherwise bother other users will be banned. Users who add misinformation or vandalism will be banned. An administrator may offer a warning but is not required to. Each of these terms are broadly defined and will be interpreted by the administrator in question at the time of the offense. There is no formal recourse for a ban. Informally, users may edit their own talk page to protest a ban. If that editing is deemed unhelpful or disruptive, the talk page will be locked.
[edit] Viewpoints of every kind are accepted here
This isn't the liberal version of Conservopedia. Apart from the behavioral rules listed above, we are not here to enforce a particular set of views or political platforms. We want to be a progressive resource, so a conservative may feel out of place on some pages, but we feel that the facts will bear our views out. Disagreements aren't the end of the world. Even among progressives, we will have disagreements about the content of pages or the focus of organizations. There is no doctrine to be obeyed here.
[edit] Wiscopedia will never be complete
There is no end to the information that may be written down about progressive issues in Wisconsin. Pages, as you see them, are not in their final form. Some topics are not included. If you find that a critical topic is missing, add it!
